Budge's Icon Pagan? Part Ii

Recommended Posts

She keeps changing her icon to a nother picture she tries to pass off as Christian, but is acutally of pagan source!

In her attempt to convince us to adopt her new fundamentalist version of the commandments dropping the coveting of women and property, she misses the source of her theology. Who is that man holding up those words in her icon?

Hmmm... Here again is a pagan wizzard (Budge Icon) performing his black arts with those writtings (Budge Icon), magic Orb (Budge Icon), with the Exclamation point of Satan image (Budge Icon). My guess is she will change her current icon again.

I was waiting for someone to notice my new avatar.

Actually it has to do with Catholicism editing out the SECOND commandment...

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images...

Where is that in the Catholic list?

They split do not covet into two commandments...

and booted the second one out...

Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.......

Here is the Catechetical view.....

The Ten Commandments

1. I am the LORD your God:
you shall not have
strange Gods before me.

2. You shall not take
the name of the LORD your God in vain.

3. Remember to keep holy the LORD'S Day.

4. Honor your father and your mother.

5. You shall not kill.

6. You shall not commit adultery.

7. You shall not steal.

8. You shall not bear false witness
against your neighbor.

9. You shall not covet
your neighbor's wife.

10. You shall not covet
your neighbor's goods.

Somebody needs to learn to read, then someone needs to learn to count. Your "missing commandment" is there Budge.....sorry to disappoint. And if the Catholic view came first among Christian views, then how praytell can you claim that we altered the 10 Commandments? What you are asking is akin to "what came first, the chicken or the egg?"

They are all viewed and all accounted for......but why did the Protestants change the ordering of the 10 Commandments, that is the real question? Was is simply to Protest the accepted Catechetical view? Methinks it was.

you shall not have strange gods before me, is not the same as you shall not have graven images...

Catholics are wrongly told that graven images only concern false gods, they are wrong to begin with. God didnt put endless disclaimers on them. Remember when the Israelites built the Golden Calf in the desert, they did to signify Jehovah, not ANOTHER God, and it was STILL WRONG. Think about that one.

Actually, Protestants split the first into two and combined the tenth.

We have the commandment against worshipping graven images just as you do...it's part of the first commandment.

Jehovah is not God's Name.

Further, they worshipped the calf. We adore no graven images.

Yes, it is....duh....and I don't have to think about that one Budge....I already took that class in college.

And just who is Jehovah? I am not familiar with that person. I am familiar with YHWH, OR JHVH (depending on which form of the Latin alpahbet on chooses), but not Jehovah.....is that a Protestant innovation on YHWH? Formulated from a man? Methinks that it is.

Your semantics are not impressive. And your analysis of the "Golden calf" is way off....God constantly put disclaimers on things.....otherwise we wouldn't have gotten past Eve.....sheesh....

To what extent are we to avoid making graven images?

Why then, do you have an image of Moses for an avatar? Is that blasphemous?
