Anna
I see truth, AND error. I tune out the Marianian aspects, too elevated for my taste, I laugh at some of the apparitions that are validated, I LOVE the doctrine about life and it's sanctity. I HATE "Coming Home" the most bigoted religous show on TV. And Mother is a hoot... Filtering out the worthwhile from the dross. So, it's the Truth according to Bruce's likes and dislikes. Very convincing. Pax Christi. <>< Oh, and btw, it's "Marian," not "Marianian." That just plain idioticotic. <_<
jasJis
Nope. Strawman again. How MANY times have I stated I watch EWTN nightly, love people on the network, learn tremendous things? I see truth, AND error. I tune out the Marianian aspects, too elevated for my taste, I laugh at some of the apparitions that are validated, I LOVE the doctrine about life and it's sanctity. I HATE "Coming Home" the most bigoted religous show on TV. And Mother is a hoot. See. Balance. Filtering out the worthwhile from the dross. EWTN is television . It doesn't attempt to be the complete and official'evangelical' package teaching everything about the Catholic Church. I certainly don't watch CTN as the complete compendium of protestant theology. So, since the "Marianian aspects" are too elevated for your tastes, does that mean they aren't relative for anyone? Do you know the theology that uplifts Mary is also fundamental to the doctrine of life and it's sanctity. I'm surprised you find "Coming Home" as so bigoted considering the substantial evangelical effort Catholics put into getting prots to becom caths. Are you being arrogant or just cheeky with your statement that you see truth AND error and sum it up with: "See. Balance. Filtering out the worthwhile from the dross." I had to look up dross. 1 : the scum that forms on the surface of molten metal 2 : waste or foreign matter : IMPURITY 3 : something that is base, trivial, or inferior I assume you aren't calling Marianian aspects as scum, but maybe waste, or trivial, or inferior. What standard do you use to make that judgement? Can you share your standard with us so we can evaluate it ourselves? Since it is about a theological issue, not sports, did the Holy Spirit move you to that conclusion? How did you recognize it as the Holy Spirit? Sorry if it's too many questions. Sometimes I just feel like I should be in the remedial class.
