electricdisk
If the devil mocks and despises all that is holy, why would witches hold 'black masses' ----??? Would this be considered the opposite of a 'mass" ? Conversely, if a black mass is the ultimate unholy sacrifice and ritual to satan, what would be considered the ultimate holy gift or sacrifice to God? -MLFG
hyperdulia again
a black mass requires a validly ordained catholic/orthodox priest or a stolen consecrated host. they desecrate the hosts and after they're done, they offer the battered body of our lord to satan. Donna
Why? Because the enemy inverts everything holy. The Black Mass is said backwards (it is a Tridentine Mass which is said), beginning with "The Last Gospel", working backwadrs from there to the Dismissal, the last blessing, the Post Communion, the Communion, the "Ecce Agnus Dei," the priest's Communion, the "Agnus Dei" and so on. Another reason why the strict rules of the old rite are needed: it is much harder for communicants to steal the Sacred Host when they are given it by the priest, accompanied by server who holds the paten below the communicant's chin, and the communicant is kneeling at the rail, with kneeling folks all around, and the big men posted sentinel at the back of the church to make sure as can be that no one bolts out of the church for a wrong reason, with the Sacred Host. Anna
Satan seeks to set himself up as a god, therefore, he must get his followers to reject the One True God. They must reject the sacred, and adore the profane. This is the action required in a black mass, or satan worship. Crucifixes and other sacred objects are also defiled by satan worshippers, and I believe a blood offering must be made to satan as well, with the worshippers drinking the blood in order to receive some "power." Odd, though... Even by rejecting the Holy Mass, committing sacrilege against the Most Holy Eucharist, defiling sacred objects, and generally rejecting all these things, they are, in a sense, admitting and recognizing that there is One True, All-Holy God, Who dwells among us, and Who left us with a Sacred Ritual to render Him proper honor. Obviously, Satan knows this, and desires that honor for himself. Pax Christi. <><

Bruce S
If anyone really cares about this.... Malachai Martin, Windswept House. Jesuit, worked IN the Vatican. A leading expert in Exorcisms. Go to Amazon, buy it, the man is an amazing author. It is a "fictional account" of things that most likely really happened, but the use of "fiction" allowed for a story to be told that most who don't follow the underbelly of the world will never learn about. I suggest every Catholic, get and read it. Fascinating book, on many levels. He is a great read.

Bruce S
Ah... LOVE THAT topic, one of my FAVORITES.... Honest. Go see who was empowered to drive out demons. It is the thing most often commanded of those doing evangelism. I think Jesus dealt with demons and gave commands concerning them ... [?] from memory.... 70 times? See if you can see what the DIRECTIONS were for doing that.

frozencell
Here is some clarification on the "black mass". It's the actual "mass" instructions, so if you are faint of heart you may want to aviod this since it's very obscenen and disgraceful. http://www.churchofsatan.org/recruc.html May God deal with these poor lost souls in His due time.
