CatholicAndFanatical
Hey ya'll, hate to bring this topic back up. But Mark Shea, I know his books rock, but have any of you got the chance to listen to him speak? If so, can you give me a run down on what it was like please. Also, Father John Corapi, doesnt he talk about his conversion? If I remember correctly he had an amesome conversion story that he tells. I see his tape on Catholicity.com all the time, just never heard of it before. Thanks all for the info. CatholicAndFanatical

Birgitta Noel
Hey CatholicAndfanatical, Those are all great suggestions! I have one that is not quite as famous, but is still a great speaker, Fr. Antoine Thomas. You may have seen him on EWTN, but he would have been doing children's stuff there. He also wrote a book on Children's Adoration that was just published by OSV. You can check out his mini-bio too. Fr. Thomas is a mountaineer like Frassati and recently went to Mexico filming on some of the volcanoes and glaciers there (sorry, I can't remember their names at the moment). Anyhow, he's a great speaker and I'm sure he would jump at the chance to talk about Frassati and "Climbing the Mountain of the Lord"! Anyhow, if you want more details give me a holler and I'll get them to you. He's definitely very orthodox and has a lot of experience speaking at places like Youth 2000 etc. God Bless, Birgitta Edited January 15, 2004 by Birgitta Noel
CatholicAndFanatical
Birgitta thats a great suggestion thank you. I will read his mini bio and add his name to the list that I am going to present to the board on the 7th. He sounds like a great person to learn from. Im sure we would all benefit from his experience. Hyper, I was gonna mention Jack Chick, but who whats to listen to a guy with a slang name for a girl as a last name?
