I know you are upset, and have every right to be, but I actually find it interesting that that was on someone's mind enough (though, obviously jaded) to actually think of that. Honestly, when was the last time you heard the confessional even mentioned in secular shops like that? Perhaps, I am jaded or a little weird for thinking this, but I wonder what kind of message that conveys to not the anti-Catholic, but the fallen away or the horribly confused Catholic. I know this will sound strange, but I wonder if it is does not stir some thoughts in the person looking upon that, that indeed they may need to go to confession. I am sure you realize that this sacrament is not the most popular in the world, and for people to come you can immediately judge their sincerity and their level of repentance, and, obviously this is targeting those who do not take the sacrament seriously, but we have reached a point, I believe, where the person will either go in sincerity or just not go at all out of fear or indifference...I know it sounds twisted, but maybe this will bring them back to the sacrament...God can bring good out of even the most horrible thing. iKonstantin
I like the old colloquialism "Any publicity is good publicity" Homosexual activity in the last 20 years aside. Why do we tolerate such ridicilus practices? This is like the 'Second Front' that we put on during the Second World War - absolutely worthless and a waste of time and life. Here is a comparison... We ask the government for a car, so they give us the body of the car, but inside there is nothing. This war on drugs is the empty shell of a car that has been created to satiate the Christian right. They fabricate a war on the lesser evils so that the greater evils can slip by. bpat Konstantin "When the bombs drop, we will know who really stands for what." RC_
The war on drugs was not created to apease the Christian right. It was created to control minorities, create enforcement jobs, and create kick-backs and bribes for judges and elected officials. The populace is just a willing scapegoat in all this, being used by those who wish to cash in. (Anyone remember prohibition?)

MRSannie
I did forget one detail: It said, "Friday- stay at your house (white) "Saturday-go to HIS house (red) "Sunday - go to confession (black) To me, this promotes anti-Catholics' belief that Catholics can raise the roof and 'just go to Confession'--not necessarily have remorse for sin, or plan on stopping or it promotes adultery or both! Didymus
yeah, I don't buy the whole publicity=good publicity with regards to this. Even the ignorant secular society know something about our sacrament of Reconciliation, and they're just mocking it...

They think 'Oh, I can do something bad, and then tell someone and go out and do it again.' Do you think anyone has ever explained, really and truly, this wonderful Sacrament to the public? iKonstantin
Wow, somehow a first draft of one of my posts ended up attached to this thread. The forum was a little buggy earlier and this proves it. I would never mispell redeecolus on a final post. And I like thongs. bpat Konstantin
