kdewolf2
Now I'm aware that Moslems often define "God" in terms of Will rather than Reason or Logos, but it strikes me that such a conception of God is not so foreign to Christians as well. William of Ockham, Martin Luther, and John Calvin seemed to think of God principally in terms of Will, an inscrutable, sovereign, and omnipotent Will unbounded by human notions of Reason or Logic. Martin Luther even called Reason the "Devil's whore." Christians don't seem to particularly averse to the sanctification of violence either, per the jingoistic bloodfest unleashed every time our Christian leaders in Washington announce that we're going to bomb another Third World country into the Stone Age.
