i just restumbled upon this thread figured i'd update anyone concerned about me.

aight, i've "come out" to two of my closest friends, both faithful Catholics and both very trustworthy. i've also talked to a priest in confession. he's a good guy and it helps to just have someone to listen, and now i guess it gives him a better understanding of my sins in confession so i could get a better penance!

anyway, yeah. God is good. i am fearing nothing.

both ways i look there'z fire :seesaw:, but 1s of purification and one's of damnation... i think i know the one i better choose! :lol:

anyway, don't forget to pray for me, cuz i've been completely bombarded with images in my mind, if not actually on the net. and you know what tell me to pray for you too, i need to pray for someone other than my own selfish lil self to keep my soul focused on the big picture.

anyway, thanx for all your prayers cuz i'm doin sooo much better right now. i've actually come more to terms with who i am, and while i still think this completely kills any chance of religious vocation, i at least am seeing some sort of Godly future even if i don't yet quite now what it is...

please pray for me. I'm busy busy right now and I have a little storm brewing from some parents who don't quite understand what my Ministry is all about. Pray that their hearts are open to what I'm doing, to what Father wants me to be doing. And pray for me! Pray that I can be a Holy Youth minister, doing the work God wants me t do, in the way God wants me to do it.

You're in my prayers constantly. See you at mass.

You rock lunder. I'm not homosexual, but I think it takes a lot of courage to admit something like that. Hmm, touchy subject, but this is a Catholic board. Love the sinner, right? Kudos for courage!

Rock on young team!!!

You really are an amesome example of faithfulness, and dealing with this type of emotional turmoil at such a young age is really an inspiration. Remember that you are a child of God FIRST when kids fling meaningless insults because none of that is who you really are and those insults are swelling from their own feelings of inadequacy and personal indifference.

I'm really glad you bumped this post up because I didn't see it before and I'm leaving for Adoration right after this post and I'll be sure to remember you when I'm in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Keep in mind how St. Paul handled his lifelong "thorn" in 2 Corinthians 12:

Therefore, that I might not become too elated, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, to beat me, to keep me from being too elated.

8 Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it might leave me,

9 but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me.

10 Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

God Bless you and keep the Faith and remember you are never alone in your struggles and strife and are perfectly loved by Our Father in heaven!

It's consoling to know that so many of the saints (the holiest people ever) struggled against these kind of temptations. Heck, if you read something like the Philokalia those guys write about some pretty freaky temptations. Some of the desert Fathers clearly struggled with homosexual desires. Some of those dudes even thought sheep looked good so don't worry about it, we're Catholic for crying out loud.

The devil tempted St. Catherine of Siena with images of "unnatural" sexual acts. She thought she was totally unpleasing to Christ because of this but when Christ appeared to her He told her that he was in fact pleased with her because she resisted these temptations out of a pure desire to be pleasing to Him.

You are a very inspirational person, lundercovera!

God has given you a great cross to carry indeed. But if you offer up your temptations, it will raise to the heavenly Father as the sweet aroma of vicotry! You can release many souls from Purgatory with this offering. What a blessing, to be able to offer this up.

God bless you, and thanks for your confidense in Phatmass.

that's a really cool way of putting it.

dude, you're soo cool! we all have struggles, every one of us. we all have different crosses to bear, they all feel the same weight to us, but some are different shapes harder to get a grip on. pray, pray pray! don't ever forget to pray, it gives you ultra-sticky gripping gloves ;)

no matter what happens, just remember that Jesus loves you, Our Lady loves you as a son, God the Father loves you as a son. you are never alone. never forget all of heaven walks with you wherever you are. they're your cheering section... and they rejoice when you resist temptation!

anyway, you're an inspiration. i would never want that cross, you must be very courageous to take it on. don't give up! cuz then one day they'll be a party in heaven for you made it no matter what the devil flung at ya!

keep up the fight! keep up the faith!
