heavenseeker
So what's the difference between DS and SP?
DS is capable of better graphics and has a larger game library than the SP it can play both gomeboy games and its own games
IcePrincessKRS
I don't think an 8 year old needs anything fancier than a Gameboy Advance SP. Matt bought one when he was away at AIT (advanced training) and a few games, got alot of use out of it until he came home and Adrienne scratched the face with a pin (I have no idea where she got it...). It still works, it just has a deep gouge on the screen that makes it a bit ugly... he gave it to her to play with. lol She uses it every so often (its actually been a coupe months since I pulled it out of the drawer for her, I don't want her to be a gadget junkie), being only 3 she has no idea how to actually play a game, but she can move the little person and she thinks that rocks. Granted an 8 year old would understand it better, but he'd have just as much fun with it. homeschoolmom
Okay... so I think I may be getting the SP and one game for him for Christmas. (He will happily buy more games or borrow them from friends)... Where would be the best place to purchase it?

IcePrincessKRS
Yeah, I'd check out a couple of those stores online for pricing and then go to where its least expensive and most convenient.
homeschoolmom
Okay... I was mostly wondering if buy it online would be better.... but yeah, point taken.
IcePrincessKRS
Yeah... Matt got his on the military base, which for pricing I think would be most convenient, but without a base nearby, a military ID card, and a DOD sticker on your car... that option really isn't gonna work. lol
