That man happens to be an eastern Catholic Bishop. Maybe its supposed to be that funny chair thing? The upside down cross is an ancient reference to the fact that St. Peter was crucified upside down. Modern devil wannabe punks use it as a symbol but the meaning they gave to it is false; the original meaning in Christian art and such was to symbolize the martyrdom of St. Peter.
