Theologian in Training
So, even as a priest, I have been elected to do a clown show. Just so happens while I was on vacation the staff here decided to have a Fall Festival. I opened my email when I returned only to see in the minutes of the staff meeting (the one they had without me) I saw Fr. Brian clown/juggling. Needless to say, I have been trying to put something together. I think I may have finally figured something out, my only problem is what music to use...for a clown who will be juggling, doing magic, and using a marionette (multi-talented clown It will all come together I am sure, but I figured since some people enjoy knowing that I do little clown shows, I figured I would let you guys know that I am doing another one at the Fall Festival October 15 God Bless
Era Might
You should play "Dies Irae" while you juggle. You can be the sad, tragic clown, like Pagliacci.
homeschoolmom
Pagliacci gives clowns a bad rap... so does John Wayne Gacy.... ... and that thing from "It" But otherwise... I think it will be fun. Kids love seeing thier priest doing something "non-priesty"
Didymus
Pagliacci gives clowns a bad rap...
unlike Bozo. Bozo is the man...
Theologian in Training
Nope, got the music picked out, and, though they are not specifically children's songs, apart from the hamster dance, though I am still debating as to whether or not I should use it, the music is very diverse, most of it electronica though not explcitly for kids can work and some mainstream stuff. And, don't worry, I have checked the lyrics God Bless

Theologian in Training
Need some advice from those preferably with children. What are some good non-obnoxious kids songs that would be ideal to juggle to? I was thinking of using Rednex "Wild and Free" but it is just too hyper for me to be able to concentrate while juggling. Any recommendations very welcome. thanks God Bless

Theologian in Training
Really? What do your kids listen to?
Fides_et_Ratio
Veggie Tales songs? What about the classic "The Entertainer" (I forget the composer)... Juggling is a lost talent, I'm glad you're keeping in touch with the skill as a priest! Juggling priests are cool. What sorts of tricks can you do, Father? If you pull out the stem of an apple, it's pretty cool if you can manage to take a bite every so often while you juggle (just don't forget where the apple is...) Theologian in Training
Ok, no offense, but as much as I can handle watching Veggie Tales, I really cannot endure the music for that long...so that is definitely out. I have a couple of good songs from Squirrel Nut Zippers, but there is a part where he is talking about getting drunk...so obviously that is not the best thing to be playing, especially from a priest If you want, since I sent it to my clown friends, I have a general idea of a routine, which I can share here if you so desired. IcePrincessKRS
I can't juggle so I have noooo idea what would be good juggling music. Sorry. My kids listen to whatever I do, but they're happy with ANYTHING. Seriously, one of their favorite tunes is the McDonald's "I'm lovin' it" jingle.
