I Don't Think A Pm'er Died....

My senior year of high school I have become actively involved in my school, and became involved with a teen mentorship program called, "Big Buddies" where a senior mentors a freshman, they hang out at each other's home and you just help ease the transition along with having a good friend.

Last night a thread was posted at 10:10 saying a phatmasser entered eternal rest. Around that time last night the student whom I mentor came to my house, I had to leave for half an hour and left him at my house. I told him he could play around on the computer if he wished while I was gone.

First of all, my homepage on the computer when logging on is the phatmass phorums. It turns out this kid wanted to have some fun browsing my computer. In Microsoft Word, I had up an assignment where we had to write an obituary for a friend; this is for psychology class. And my myspace email account open as well, etc. On my desk I have a few letters, one my acceptance letter from Briar Cliff Univeristy and also a letter from St. Joseph College seminary along with a letter from Intercessors of the Lamb.

During the hour I was gone, Adam decided to post on this board the obituary that I wrote. Registered a new account and everything which blows my mind. Adam lives a block away so he's at my house a lot, like before school and after school. I probably would not have been aware of anything, until I just saw him post that message saying the Bishop couldn't make the funeral. He was using my computer to type his freshman english essay. I took the dog out and found him on the phorums, which I found strange. I questioned him, and found out that he posted the obituary that I wrote.

I talked with him and told him that these people are die hard Catholics and that there praying for somebody who is not dead. I told him how wrong that it was. I am talking to his mother this evening, and will be filing a complaint at the Big Buddies office about Adam.

So I want to let everybody know, I'm ok, and I don't think anyone died. The only person who died was the person whom I was to write an obituary for for my psychology class.

So advert your prayers to those who are killed by drunk drivers as that obituray indicated.

So this is for sure? I just went out and asked people on other sites to pray. Actually, when I saw the topic this crossed my mind. You never know if stuff is true or not. On the other hand, how do we know that this part of the story is true? I'm not saying you are making up this story...just trying to make my pont. How can I know if anything is true? For now I'll just leave it all. *Is confused*

Thats sad, crazy insane, and Ed, I am totally happy it was just a prank, because alot of us were really worried about you and trying to figure out who this could possibly be! ...that is, I am not pleased with the kid, but I am glad you're ok. (I've also removed your e-mail address from public view, and ammended the Rosary thread title to reflect the request to pray for those killed by drunk drivers rather than a specific phatmasser)

Is it really wrong that I find it kinda humorous? I mean, the prayers didn't just get swallowed up in hell. Although it was something pretty irresponsible, I don't think anyone got hurt. (Correct me if I'm wrong; maybe I should just be upset, but I'm glad this tragic death never happened)

Glad you clarified... I was unsure because the obituary wasn't on the web (which is unusual) and because (no offense!) it didn't remind me of a professionally written one, but I assumed that Intercessor was merely trying to protect private information.

And I'm also glad that you are okay... we were definitely getting worried! (IPs are usually on the spot!)

I never thought it was real, there was nothing genuine about it but even though I can be a jerk, I wasn't about to say in somebody's death thread that it was a sick joke.

I had a feeling somerthing wasn't right.. I even told sweetpea " I wonder if someone is playing some kind of a joke".. or sometthing like that. .. but like notard.. I dnd't want to say anything.
