Peter Lonergan from The Quiet Man, Brother Cadfael.... That's all I can think of right now.

Veritas
Brother Cadfael is my hero: welsh, detective AND gardener
+ Fun question... The old, white bearded priest (dominican I think), who rode his bike around the mission in Africa and then was martyred in "A Nun's Story" and then also the priest who lived on the leper's island to care for them and so joyfully received leprosy also in "A Nun's Story". puellapaschalis
Brother Cadfael isn't a priest, I don't believe. He joined the Abbey in Shrewsbury after a career in the crusades and was possibly considered too old for preparation for ordination. Love and prayers, PP
