eddieloudog
Need some Help on this one. I am looking for some info on the myriad of Lay organizations and Third orders out there. Any help navigating the world of lay discernment? Maybe a website or a one stop shop for all things Third Order?

I am looking for some info on the myriad of Lay organizations and Third orders out there. Any help navigating the world of lay discernment? Maybe a website or a one stop shop for all things Third Order?
I am a Secular Discalced Carmelite. This website may be of help: http://www.ocd.pcn.net/ocds_ind.htm I believe it is all up to date and has the current Constitutions we live by. If it interests you, you may PM me and I may be able to point you to a local Community. I am very glad you bring this up. There are many who do not see lay or third orders as true vocations given by God. Here at phatmass, I don't think thats the case at all. But I think it's important to bring it up now and again so readers coming through will have the opportunity to explore all vocations. If one door closes, then in time, they may see this one opened to them as a beautiful way to answer God's call. Just my .02 Mary-Kathryn
puellapaschalis
I'm an Oblate of St. Benedict. For some general information you can take a look here. However, bear in mind that as Benedictine houses are all autonomous and Oblates are attached to a particular house, the nature of "being an Oblate" will change considerably from house to house. morostheos
I'm a member of the lay movement Regnum Christi. The vatican recently put out a book describing all of the new lay movements in the Church, ZENIT publishes a different one every day, or you can search the entire directory at: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontific...iazioni_en.html Feel free to email/PM me if you have any questions!
