BLAZEr
You'll be fine. It's cool for non-Catholics, especially those who want to know more about the Church.

DesiringMore
I can't wait til I can go on one of those retreats! is there an age requirement?? what age is it geared towards?
track2004
is there an age requirement?? what age is it geared towards? To be a TECite, at least in Evansville, you're supposed to be between the ages of 17 (Jr in high school) and 22. If you've never made the retreat before and are interested and are older than 22 you can be an observer, and they just mostly observe (who woulda thunk). It's geared towards teens, but basically any age group could like it. Most of the songs and the topics are concerned with growing up though. So everyone betweens 17 and 22 GO. And everyone who is older than 22 and works with teens a lot, you can benefit from this too, and encourgae it to your teens. track2004 Evansville TEC 46 &

SallyCat
DesiringMore, Do you feel like you BELONG at Tec? I tihnk you should go. It would be an amesome experience for you. You could learn from others and i am sure you have a lot that others can learn from you. I know you have a lot you could teach me. If you have the desire to be there GO. Yes, TEC is a Catholic movement, but we are all there for the same reason or al least I think we are...we are there because we desire someting...to be closer to Christ, to learn more about our selves to learn more about others, and to become closer to ourselves, many of these but not only these is what we are searching for. How are you going to know if He is calling you to go now or later? What does your gut tell you and what does your heart tell you...Pray that He will let you know...I will pray that He will let you know. I will pray that you attend TEC at the time He wants you to, but I would think the sooner, the better....Don't put things off, because sometimes tommorrow never comes. God Bless, Sally
Katt1227
TEC is amesome, it is an amazing weekend that changes you so much. I've worked 4 of them and every one of them has taught me so much about myself and my faith, so I would really encourage anyone to go. It would be definitely an interesting experience for a non-catholic, because you would be thrown into a group of 50-60 Catholics for 3 days, which for some people might be a little scary. If you are open to all that you can learn, and don't mind not being able to partake in a few parts of the weekend. I think the manual says that TECites must be confirmed Catholics, but I don't really think anyone would say you can't come if you really want to. You might be put at the Observer Table (with the old folks) because of the fact that you aren't Catholic, but an Observer is really no different a TECite, they partake in the same activities. So, keep an open mind about it, and if you feel like He is calling you towards the weekend, Go for it!!

The thing is, i was confirmed Catholic in the 8th grade...so, i meet that requirement
