Witnessing Tools For Unbelievers....

I know we LOVE to squabble here, myself included. Frankly, being here is enlightening on many levels, but I've been thinking that really we are not here for each other. We are commanded to go out to the world, and I'm assuming that is for those who are NOT worried daily about what VERSION of Christian to be, but if Jesus is even alive to them.

So.

I come into contact with many sceptics, and having been one for a long time in my life, I love to have some booklets or beginner books that are useful for converting people FROM agnostic or worse to Christians.

What materials have you found worthwhile that has actually WORKED with people, people that are not even Christian in outlook or thinking?

I'm talking to some folks right now, and have some material in mind, but there are good people here that might have insights that we could share with each other.

Two good books that I've read that would be good for non-Christians are:

Handbook of Christian Apologetics by Peter Kreeft and Ronald Tacelli and Mere Christianity by CS Lewis

C.S. Lewis, MERE CHRISTIANITY is certainly a classic. I read this early on, and it was a keeper, in my library now. Especially good with an agnostic with a high level of education, not too complicated and well written.

That is a good suggestion.

Others?

I know that scientists are about the hardest ones to reach, they are terribly hung up on the proof type approach, there is a group out there comprised of Christian scientists [not that denomination, real scientists] who have amassed a lot of serious position papers.
