socalscout
Ok I read the whole stink about Evanescence how they identitfied their music as Christian but then retracted becasue they were being pigeon holed. If I'm wrong then oh well. Anyway I like the harder edge,(being a teenager during the era of Heavy Metal) and it wold be nice to hear some Christian lyrics as well. Here are some bands I have heard so far but I am not totally sure about. If you can add to this it would be cool. 12 Stones - Christian? POD- Old stuff proclaimed Christianity but now? GodsThespianChic
Yes, 12 Stones is Christian. I never knew that till one of the core team members informed me of this. Here are some more bands you might like: *Skillet *Living Sacrifice
Norseman82
Although Creed publicly tries to avoid being labeled a Christian band, much of their lyrics have a verrrrrrrry Christian theme: 1) "My Own Prison" - images of the crucifixion 2) "What's this Life for" - despite the use of a certain offensive phrase, there are references to living "under the reign of the one King" 3) "In America" - explicit pro-life lyric 4) "Faceless Man" - imagery of what some fundamentalists call "accepting Jesus into your heart"

I read a little bio on them and they did not come straight out and say it even though their songs do. I guess I just get upset when bands backtrack their profession of faith just so can be mainstream. They will dance around the subject whenever asked and give their own personal belief in a generic God without committing themselves and their music to being Christian. Thanks Norseman, where do you ride?
jrndveritatis
Kutless is amesome. At www.kutless.com you can hear almost their whole new cd. Also Sanctus Real, Pillar, 38th Parallel, Spoken, Falling Up. But try Kutless and Thousand Foot Krutch first.

ransom
Pillar is one of my favorite heavy alternative bands. Their bass player, although not Catholic himself, regularly attends Saturday evening Mass with his wife, who is Catholic. The guys in Pillar are all great people who are on fire for God and the youth of today and put on an amazing show. all love, peace and unity in Christ Jesus, ransom
