Crocodile Hunter Dies

It is sad but not surprising. This guy was always putting himself in danger being around deadliest animals. You don't mess with mother nature, just let the animals be.

What a way to die. Guess like other people said: he died doing what he loved. I never would have thought to pray for him but it makes sense now that I think about it. I'll be praying for his family and his soul.

So young! What a terrible tragedy for his wife and children. I would assume he didn't suffer--sounds like his heart was stopped instantly, hopefully he died quickly and without pain.

He sure had a respect for God's creatures and creation.

Those poor kids--hope the media stays out of their business.

:sadder:

It's so ironic; I remember several years ago there were urban legends going around that said Irwin had been killed by a poisonous snake or something like that. And a few years back there was a commercial for Federal Express or some other quick-shipment service, where Irwin gets bitten by a snake and then, on hearing the antivenin has been delayed in shipment, keels over and dies. Of course, it was all pretend, and the commercial was pretty funny too. But this isn't pretend, obviously. How sad!

His death due to a sting ray was very much a freak thing, though -- only like the 3rd person on record in Oz to be killed by one (the others were in 88, and one in 1945.) But I guess if anyone would end up dying in that manner I suppose it would be him. :(

May St. Francis be interceding on his behalf.

As a wildlife rehaber, I amidered his stand.
also we were always taught safety first, but even experts sometimes fall short.
In class we were told of a guy who rehab'ed harings and he forgot to take off his necklace that day and a haring picered thru his neck and he died.

However, Steve Irwin, please pray for all the animals in the world.
