Brother Adam
Dr. John Bergsma, convert and professor of theology has given his permission to post the following information on the internet. It is a great overview of the "seven mountains" of salvation history. While great by itself, it is even more useful in the wider scope of teaching biblical organic unity. Fides_et_Ratio
so I missed Bergsma while at Steubie, but why is it the "seven" mountains if he lists 6 covenants? (and yay, they are the 6 that I tend to focus on the most when explaining OT stuff to my PSR kids)

Laudate_Dominum
some versions of this see two covenants in the beginning, an edenic covenant and an adamic covenant. but then again, it is possible to argue that the earliest true covenant was the noahic. I used to follow bergsma's version of six covenants but I considered the future eschaton to be the seventh covenant. I say 'used to' because I haven't thought about it in a while so I'm not sure where I stand.
jswranch
I greatly understand who I am and what my purpose is in this life through the melding of the Salvific covenants and theology of the Body. Add in my new understanding of divine sonship we have (as opposed to my old protestant notion of legalistic declaration of 'saved') and I am walking on clouds. [/quote] it was really satanists. sean...................i'm w/ you on their being 6 covenants and the second coming being the 7th. it makes alot of sense to me. i think adding a "hill" for the prophets can be confusing. they spoke of the new covenant (especially Jeremiah) but they did not institute one or renew one. Let's kick it this weekend and talk theology or something.
