Bishop Samuel Aquila wrote an article on the dignity of the human body in the latest Diocesan newspaper that dealt with the same topic. In a nutshell, he says that excessive tattooing and piercing isn't treating our bodies with respect. Our bodies aren't even ours, but gifts from God.
