Era Might
I read that the name "Mary" meant "Star of the Sea". Is that true?

Were you at the big celebration for the Assumption? I was there. I absolutely LOVE the statue just opposite of Our Lady of Consolation... I've never been more moved. "All ye who pass by this way, see if there is any sorrow like unto mine." (or something to that effect)... I could kneel and pray in front of her there all day. (I also LOVE the relief downstairs of the Mass being celebrated for the Poor Souls in Purgatory... if you're facing the altar, it's to the right... it's an amazing depiction of the Mass) [/quote] I know what you're talking about (although I have not been in the basement) - the shrine is awesome. I was there on Tuesday, the day after the Assumption. Going to confession out on the lawn was cool too. I really liked how they had a place where a priest would bless religious objects. I'm also partial to Our Lady of Guadalupe -- she's my birthday patron! But really, it's way too hard just to choose one!!
