Domine ut Videam
Yes, yes they are
not all are. Keep in your prayers, those dioceses who are stretched thin and whose priests cannot take vacations. I know a very holy priest who very much so needs a vacation, but cannot take one because he has two assignments (a pastor of a large church, and the chaplain of a 1,000 student catholic highschool) and he just started being pastor and cannot take a vacation and could not take one all summer. This is the way it seems to be across the diocese. Please keep our priests in your prayers. Thanks. Have a good vacation father. Old_Joe
There's a priest here who gets discounts on cruises because he signs up as the ship's chaplain.

Fides_et_Ratio
Have a great vacation, Father! I pray it's relaxing and refreshing! EENS, a priest-friend of mine always reads when he's on vacation-- he goes somewhere quiet and away from the all the hussle and bussle and takes two or three good spiritual/theology books and slowly reads them. But I highly doubt that's the norm for a priest's vacation. One of my parish priests always goes skiing with a buddy of his (he broke his leg a few years ago, but that hasn't kept him away from the slopes!)
