Dave
I've read many times that for the consecration of the Mass to be valid, the priest must at least say, "This is my Body" and "This is the cup of my Blood," respectively. Well, a guy I know who believes the Novus Ordo in the vernacular is "questionably" valid (the old "for many" versus "for all" business) claims that St. Pius V (I think that's the pope he mentioned) actually condemned that notion. He didn't have a quote for me, though. Can anyone shed some light on that subject?
