Father Marie-Dominique Philippe, o.p., Father founder of the Community of Saint John, peacefully returned to God on Saturday August 26, 2006, at 4 am at the priory of Saint Jodard (France).

Please offer up your prayers and trials for him and his community today. As it is the first time for them that they have been without their founder and leader. We know that he is at the gates of heaven and already interceding on our behalf but let us offer up our prayers for him this day that he might have no hindrances on his journey.

Notre Père qui es aux cieux,
Que ton nom soit sanctifié;
Que ton règne vienne;
Que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel;
Donne-nous aujourd'hui notre pain quotidien;
Pardonne-nous nos offenses
comme nous pardonnons à ceux qui nous ont offensés;
Ne nous abandonne pas à la tentation;
mais délivre-nous du mal;
Car c'est à toi qu'appartiennent,
dans tous les siècles,
le règne, la puissance et la gloire.
