What are you supposed to do if you keep sinning mortally, and want to confess because:

-you know its the right thing to do;

-your guild is rooted in the rift created between you and God as a result;

-and ultimately are terrified of the thought that you might go straight to hell if you were to walk to your car and get hit by a truck before you went to confession;

-wonder whenther your reasons for confession are vallid and will attain for you forgiveness;

-know that grace to help lead a holy life but are afraid that it is an 'imperfict' act of contrition/ desire for resemption.

Gha! in so confused.

Perfect contrition is not necessary to receive forgiveness of sins in the confessional. Only imperfect contrition is necessary. However, you must make a firm resolution not to commit that sin again. The GREAT THING ABOUT IT ALL is that God gives you the grace to avoid that sin if you sincerely make that firm resolution. God is faithful. He will see you through your struggle.
