homeschoolmom
I still rejoice to this day that I got out of Animal Farm.
I actually liked Animal Farm. I've read it just for kicks. Four legs good. Two legs baaaaad. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. Ash Wednesday
Wow, I am either 1. Getting old 2. In possession of a swiss coagulated milk brain Because I remember reading Flowers for Algernon but I don't remember any overt sex in the book at all. I must have read the edited version. SanctifyMe
I read 'Flowers' on my own, and this book is about much more than Sex or Science~ It is about a man getting the chance to live beyond his 'lot' in life that society has laid upon him, about him having the chance to live outside of the 'box'...tasting sweetness after so much pain. and the tragic part, is having to go back to the emptiness that came before~ knowing what bliss can felt in a heart, and truly knowing how different it can be. Charlie had eyes to see, and loved, just like everyone, .. and then had to go back to the painful and simple life he lived before. He accepted this though, and kept living his life without question. This book is about far more than offensive language and vulgarity, I think the message to Trust God could be hidden inside it somewhere~ but, that is just my opinion.
