immaculata
Since high school the only contemporary ones I still listen to are Third Day and Steven Curtis Chapman (Speechless is the BEST!!!) Dude.. SCC is the shizzle. (haha... there's my attempt to sound ghetto. ) No really, Speechless is amazing- I also loved Declaration. I used to be on the SCC message boards until I wandered into Phat-world.
Sojourner
The last SCC CD I listened to was "The Great Adventure." At least, that's what I think it was called. I'm sure if I heard it again I'd remember all the songs.
Paladin D
I listen to some Christian music, but most CCM is too soft. Not saying soft music isn't good, but it gets very boring after a while... PiLLaR, POD, Kutless, Project 86 (no longer a band that writes Christian music), and some others.

I like all sorts of music but by now I really enjoy good lyrics. God bless. Buster

PatrickRitaMichael
After growing up and going to churches where the people basically consdered you a bad Christian if you didn't listen to CCM (they happened to be Protestant, but that's my personal experience), I now listen to a song and judge it by its content independently of the label and/or whether or not CCM magazine approves of it. I like classical music a lot and I must admit, a lot of what I hear on the regular stations is junk. But it just depends on the song...
frozencell
I think there needs to be another option. Mostly Christian or something of that nature. I love Christian music but I also listen to classics such as the Beatles and the like.
Thomas Michael
I used to think that Christian music was almost all easy listening stuff, with few exceptions like Stryper. Today there's Christian rock bands making the jump to mainstream alternative radio all the time, and you'd never know of their origins. My radio's usually parked at the Edge (the alternative station in DFW), and they play POD, Switchfoot, Lifehouse and Chevelle on a regular basis. I'll occasionally tune to Power 89.7, which is a Christian alternative-rock station, though. As for "praise & worship" music, well, I think my tastes are well known about this already. I can stomach most of the Haugen-Haas-Schutte style music out there, the only exceptions being "Here I Am Lord" (the chorus sounds too much like "The Brady Bunch Theme") and the "Mass Of Creation" service music (I know it's wildly popular and everyone thinks it's real majestic and elegaic, but I'm sorry, to me it sounds like it belongs in a haunted house - and it's getting harder and harder for me to find a church that DOESN'T use it).
