Yesterday, I was at Adoration at the Steubenville North Youth Conference. Well, I just came out of Confession not to long prior and well, I was just praying...Then, I started paying the sweet name of Jesus...then, I kept going fast and and faster, and that's when I felt as if I have the gift of tongues. My chaperone who was with me, has it too and she said it was valid. I talked to a priest and he said the Devil can't intervine through the sweet name of Jesus. So, anyway, Can anyone tell me more about this gift?

:detective: I would be very careful with these gifts. Whilst it is true that some people do have the gift of tongues ... others fall victim to pride and claim to have the gift when they really don't - some people forget that in speaking of gifts St Paul stresses that the greatest gift is to love. Have you thought of asking someone qualified to speak of these things ... like your priest? They may be better able to answer you as opposed to ppl here.
