It's wrong to recognize the "Jewish state" which calls itself "Israel" as legitimate because it's God's express will that the Jews remain in exile until [i]He Himself[/i] restores them to the Holy Land; because God stated explicitly that the Israelites cannot occupy the Holy Land without [i]complete obedience to Him[/i]. The people who today call themselves "Jews" who unjustly occupy the Holy Land calling it "Israel" do not meet these and other conditions mandated by God. That's why.

Every Catholic ought to know this, "Church Militant." It's why the great Pope Saint, Pius X sent Theodore Herzl packing when he came to Rome foolishly seeking a papal blessing for the Zionist movement.

All of the ADL-style intimidation tactics in the world cannot change these facts.

I think that Muslims have become the new 'reds under the beds'. Everyone was similarly terrified of a perceived spread of communism not so very long ago. Perhaps I am being short-sighted, but I don't believe that Islam is the threat that people seem to think. Nor do I believe that it's only Islamic influence that causes the UN to reprimand Israel. A lot of European governments dislike the blatantly preferential (and often downright hypocritical) treatment Israel receives from the US government.

Ah, you have a few common misconceptions, first about the “red scare” being total bunk… next about the current global jihad.

#1 - The "perceived" spread of communism was real

The threat was real, and is real today.

The UN sanctioned Israel – and legally created it… and outlawed militant-Islamic terror groups that seek to destroy Israel, and every Jew on the planet.
Today, any radical claiming to speak on behalf of Islam has very special treatment in the name of some twisted global “political correctness” …even if the guy is a maniac and a member of (for example) Hezbollah. This is exactly what is happening in the U.N. today.

Is there a radical Islam threat today?
Check your history… there was before – yes?

Is their a threat today.

Is the msm being irresponsible with their news coverage? – Absolutely

Most experts say that about “only” 10% of all Muslims are militant-Islam…
Well… 10% of more than one million – this is bigger than the population on the USA.

This is a lot of militant-Muslims spread all over the globe… and the number of Muslims who simply hate the West is much larger.
This is a dangerous time – and a very real issue… this isn’t a simple made-up “red scare.”

And this is not a global threat – not some people pissed off at the USA, as liberals would like you to think.

Remember - Russia was recently attacked, and Spain, Somalia, Kenya, South Africa, Australia, Paris, London, Bali, and many other countries.
This isn’t some US problem with miscommunication with some other foreign leader like Allen Colmes, Franken, and other liberals would like us to believe…

This is a [i]global militant jihad[/i] – and we are losing
Way too many are just standing by as it happens.

Kenya is losing, France is pretty much lost, Spain is finished (it’s leader gives talks wearing the Palestinian scarf) …
And the UN has rules on the books demanding Islam rule

Who are these 'experts'? Where is the evidence behind that statistic? The population of Islamists keeps fluctuating. Some people are drawn into the extremist mindset, other people pull away from it. Political and religious views are shaped by current events - extremism grows worse during times of turmoil, which could explain why it is most prevalent in troubled areas of society. So I don't see how it's possible to come up with a figure.

Where is the evidence behind the list that you cite? It will take more than "an American congressman said so" for me to believe that communism was ever the threat that Joseph McCarthy's supporters made out. It will take more than a group of communist hardliners openly declaring that they want to bring down America before I take them seriously. Just because someone expresses a desire to eradicate an entire social system doesn't mean they have the power or the ability to carry it out. While it's important not to underestimate what's going on in the world today, we shouldn't succumb to the same hysteria that was rampant during the 'red scare'. I've read about what McCarthyist paranoia did to citizens of America. Totally ordinary ctizens who had never done anything more than attend one communist meeting during their college days were subjected to witch hunts. You could be convicted on the most outrageous and flimsy pieces of evidence. People's lives were ruined as a result of this out-of-control paranoia. Not only was it unreasonable, it directed people's attention to the wrong quarters.

True. But they didn't create or sanction the disgusting racism and discrimination that Palestinian and Israeli Arabs have to face on a daily basis. There are areas in Israel where Arabs are reserved exclusively for Jews - many of whom are immigrants to Israel and have little or no family history in the country. If you're an Arab who has lived in that area for ten generations, you can't choose where to live. You are barred from living in certain settlements. Jewish settlers are given permits to build houses without any trouble, but it is incredibly difficult for Israeli Arabs (official citizens of Israel) to acquire these permits - never mind Palestinians - and as a result their cities often chronically overcrowded. It is forbidden to teach anything about the history of the country prior to 1948 in schools. Hundreds of villages were destroyed that year, and very often Israeli human rights organisations (several of them founded by Jews) put up commemorative signs where those villages once stood. The signs are usually removed within the hour. Hebrew and Arabic are meant to be joint official languages, but there have been several incidents when Palestinian and Israeli Arabs were sacked from their jobs for using Arabic.

Arabs, Israeli and Palestinian, are second-class citizens in Israel. This isn't just fluffy liberal propaganda. This is what is going on. It may interest you to know that the Arab Christians also suffer from discrimination - it's not just a question of militant jihadi Muslims versus those nice civilised Jews. Our church is twinned with a Palestinian church in the West Bank (Our Lady Queen of Peace) and the people of that church send us a newsletter each month. It gets pinned to the bulletin board in the narthex. Their lives are made very difficult for no other reason than the fact that they're Palestinians. Suicide bombings can't ever be justified, but neither can this. Racism is just wrong.
