The parish I attend now is St. Maria Goretti in New Orleans and it doesn't have a website, but the one I use to go to before moving does, and I still go there every once in awhile for some holidays and stuff.

That's cool, MrsFrozen. My brother does like the AF -- he just got married, and she's also in the service, so it's been good for him. :D I have another brother who's a Marine, stationed at Camp Lejeune in NC. He's been in for six years now, so he also enjoys being in the service.

BTW, my parish Web site is Saint Mary Catholic Church

I'm glad he likes it. My husband fixes C-130s. It seems like everyone in the Marines likes it! We have a couple friends in the Marines. One was at Camp Lejeune, but now he's overseas in Iraq. We're praying for him and all the men and women over there. I was considering going into the AF Reserves, but then I had my little boy, so that was put by the wayside. I may do it someday, but probably not!

God bless.. :)

Mrs. Frozen,

Hello to another AF family! My husband and I work for the AF as civilian engineers (not military, sorry) and we love it! We both work at Eglin, and I work in testing of the A-10. Right now my husband is in school, but before that he was working in procurment of drones. Ya'll need to come to Eglin and then we could have a big old Phatmass party!

Hey, that's great! I'm so glad you like it. Do civilian engineers get to pick which base they want to go to, or are you stationed by the AF like we are? Just curious. :) My husband really likes the AF. He will most likely stay in for 20, and can work on getting a degree at his leisure. That's the way to do it! :D

God bless.. :)

We get to stay where we are (you are hired to a spot at a particular base) unless we are trying to get promoted to a GS-15 or SES (which is the civilian equivalent to a colonel and general). Then you are pretty much required to take jobs at other bases to "broaden" your horizons so to speak. Otherwise, if you are happy where you are you can pretty much stay there forever. The job security of working for the AF is amazing.

By the way, I'm a big fan of the C-130. They fly over our house every day and the AC-130s at Hurlburt Field have a cannon target a few miles away from our house. Sometimes at night we get to hear the cannons booming...a couple of times we've had our windows shake. I know it will scare my mom to death when she comes to visit, but I think its amesome.
