Tindomiel
Ignatious (?) Press dropped all of her merchandise. She also made fun of the Holy Eucharist.
Good for them.

Guest Rick777
Wow, what a turn off. This is no different from that Sinead O' Conner incident. Oh the heresy! Among my favorite comments after that article was....."Charlotte Church, you need to be exorcised." Edited July 21, 2006 by Rick777
littleflower+JMJ
I knew there was a reason why I never listened to her music or brought her cds I'm sorry but it was all the majority of Catholics who really made her known. Who else would buy a cd of Latin and traditional songs??
dandy777
what kind of TV show are you talking about?
Seven77
if you watched her in 2000 interviewed on Raymond Arroyo's show you could sort of see it coming..
misereremi
How sad. Another UK celebrity bashing the Church, how original... I am offended that these type of things are allowed, we got to take action at every offence. I can't wait for someone in the limelight to be really subversive, representing the Truth at all costs. fearundercontrol
I don't even know what to say. I was in awe of her when I was younger. This is like a completely different Charlotte Church. Talk about change....
iheartjp2
Just out of curiosity, I went to her site to check it out. I clicked on the link to listen to little clips of all of the songs from her new album "Tissues and Issues", and moreover, it sounds pretty mediocre. She would've done so much better sticking w/ her old style. *wince* Too bad, so sad.
ilovechrist
i was probably one of the biggest fans of Charlotte when she first began recording CD's... her voice and appearance were angelic then. now... i am indeed sending the cds to her with my regards. melporcristo
Instead of just throwing them out, send them back to her with your remarks and regards. That's the stance Rock For Life takes, and surprisingly, it seems to work. or at least has in the past.
I agree, sending them to her would be the most affective thing. Here's the official statement from Ignatius Press: Tuesday, July 18, 2006 Notice to All Ignatius Press Customers In light of the recent statements and actions of singer Charlotte Church, Ignatius Press will be dropping all of her products. It is with regret that we do this; Miss Church possesses a great gift from God, and in the past she has used her talent often to offer praise and glory to our Lord. She has performed for the late Pope John Paul II, and in many sacred concerts, televised Christmas celebrations, and her many albums were enjoyed by our customers over the years. But we cannot stand by a young woman who uses her stature in the media to mock the Eucharist, slander the Holy Father, and denigrate the vows of religious women. Therefore, our catalogs and website will immediately withraw all compact discs, cassette tapes, DVDs and VHS tapes that feature Miss Church. Please join us in praying for this troubled young woman
IcePrincessKRS
^^^ Ignatius Press totally rocks. If more companies were like that!
how very charming.
Doesn't that just sum it up!?
Freakin imbicile! Sorry. She needs prayers. Bigtime.
That sums it up, too. Fides_et_Ratio
I doubt her "career" will go very far now... she probably just offended 90% of her (former) fans.
Noel's angel
The show has been cancelled. As if that will make everyone love her again...
