cathoholic_anonymous
I have a friend who has been offered a place to study womenswear at Central St Martin's College, London, which is one of the most competitive courses offered by one of best fashion colleges there is - CSM is the Oxford or the Harvard of the fashion world. Loads of famous designers studied there. My friend fought off some really tough competition to get in - but the fees are so high that she doesn't know whether she will be able to take up her place. Please pray that she is able to find the money somehow. She's a committed Christian and her dream is to run an ethical fashion house that supports people who live below the poverty line - especially workers who are exploited by the fashion industry. (Children who are forced to work in clothing sweatshops, for example.) Lots of people from her church have tried to deter her from entering this profession with, "It's not a Christian job," but she plans to Christianise her work - it appears that this is her vocation in life, and it's a vocation she's been working towards ever since I first knew her. (We met nearly six years ago, when she was fourteen.) Please pray that the Lord gives her the means, financial and otherwise, to succeed in her objective.
