our next entry will be..........MARY (including all the Marian doctrines).

btw, i post this in the debate board to remind you all that the reference section is a good resource for when you are debating.

i hope to make it one of the best on the internet.

i would have to read them before replying.

i do have a question though - There is a cross where Mary is on one side of the cross in Vatican and Jesus on the other side. This seems to indicate she has a redemptive part in salvation - and since everything in Rome is sanctioned by the Pope..

regarding the intended meaning behind the cross you mention, i am not sure. as for mary's "redemptive part in salvation" see the section "Mediatrix/Co-Redemptrix" in the Mary entry. hopefully, the articles there should more than cover it.

It would be St John, not Jesus, who stood at the foot of the cross with Mary.

It would be good to see a picture of just what Circle is talking about.

Yes, Mary is usually depicted at the Foot of the Cross, with St. John the Evangelist, but Circle says that she is on the cross, next to Jesus.

This would probably be some artwork indicating the artist's faith and belief that Mary is indeed in heaven with Jesus, having completed her earthly life. (Living a holy life on earth requires each of us picking up our cross and following Jesus.)
