going to take Religion and Theology 101

well i'm going to take both Religion 101 and Theology 101 when i start college in the fall and want to know if anyone knows what i could expect in these first year classes. like how deep do you think they will go in the intro class.

Unless you are taking a non-introductory class on religion (one that was about a particular religion, time period, etc.) you should expect a brief, non indepth overview of religions. nothing in depth really.

it depends on the college and the prof, but in general, intro courses aren't too in depth-- they are usually just a superficial overview of things.

I wouldn't expect anything too deep. I took 100 level theology classes in my first year of college, (after having attended Catholic school for 13 years, previous) and I got easy As in both, but I did learn quite a bit, too, because I could look at some of the more detail type things, as opposed to having to master the larger concepts in studying. For me it was a "you get what you put into it" type class.

well i went to public school and only had 8 years of religious-ed so I dont it will be as easy for me but if its not too deep I should be ok.

Is it a liberal school? My sister went to a Jesuit college and...well...the religion classes were...uh...let's just say it's a good thing she was well-grounded in the Faith before going in there (and that she came out that way)....
