musturde
I know Vat. II is tight with us believing in Evolution but some people claim that it is against scripture. How can I assure them it's not?
cappie
Evolution is a theory just a theory but it has been judged by many as the best theory to explain how vegetable, animal and human life developed from more primitative organisms; this theory has not been completely proven and many questions remain. Many mainstream theologians including Catholic ones affirm that the theory may be judged on its own merits, as long as there is no denial of the basic truth of revelation: namely that God is the immediate creator of the human soul For reference see Code of Canon Law 362-
