Spiritual_Arsonist
This is just my personal opinion, but the guy seems like a fake. I believe this guy has some pretty strange teachings. He sure does look weird in those suits.
inDEED
I can speak from experience... When I was younger, my family and I attended one of his outreach sessions here @ the Veterans Memorial Coliseum... My father had cancer and we really were lookin' for a cure... He called out my father's illness from the stage...among some 15,000 people... We went on the stage and were slain in the spirit...like THREE TIMES! It was an amazing experience... I believe that the man is anointed.

Circle_Master
He's considered a heretic to evangelicals. Catholics would name him a double-heretic I would assume.
cmotherofpirl
Heretic means he knows the truth and corrupts it. I wouldn't give him that much credit. Fraud seems a bit more applicable.

inDEED
wut does it mean to be slain in the spirt ? He touched my chin and through the power of the Holy Spirit, I fell back and rested in complete peace for several minutes...
inDEED
I won't defend Benny Hinn to anyone because, to be quite honest, I do not know enough about his ministry. I do know, however, that the Holy Spirit acted through him that day to offer both my father and I a brief moment of peace in his illness. No one can dispute that. cmotherofpirl
I take it back: he is a heretic and a fraud. He was never a priest and has no formal religious training at all. He claims God appears to him and he channels God. After reading what the evangelicals and others say . I'd vote for possession.
Circle_Master
I do know, however, that the Holy Spirit acted through him that day to offer both my father and I a brief moment of peace in his illness. a brief moment of peace? If the Holy Spirit was working I would expect complete healing. I know a story of another man, (a friends friend) who came over from africa to be healed from a foot disease. He could barely walk, but made it to the convention. Benny Hinn did the pre-work interview and the guy was accepted. During the meeting Benny Hinn called him up, and the guy felt no foot pain and danced around and was great. Several hours afterward, the pain came back fully and he couldn't walk at all and had to be taken to the emergency room. What they found out afterward, is being in a situation like that, your body can release many endorphines and other things and you can actually feel no pain. But as it fades, the pain comes back. " i feel ya bro, thanks for the responce, i think he seems like a good guy, and its not my place to judge him anyways, and jus cuz he dont have religous training, in my opionon that doesnt mean anything, i dont think u have to have religous training to work for God Edited January 2, 2004 by Guest
inDEED
He was never a priest and has no formal religious training at all. He claims God appears to him and he channels God. So you're saying that in order for GOD to appear to someone they must be a Priest or have undergone some religious training? Obsurd. You know neither the man or his heart. Calling him a fraud & heretic is pretty serious....and uncalled for.
