photosynthesis
I said before that I don't really know what I'm talking about in regard to the composition of atoms, that's just something I remember from school. Quarks and leptons are the smallest parts of the atom...I think...they're smaller than protons and neutrons and voltrons and arbitrons and all of that stuff. and it's not really about the substance of the individual quarks and leptons, but how they're combined. Is there a chemical formula for the body, blood soul and divinity of Christ? I don't know. I wouldn't think so, since you can't really force God into that small of a box. But scientists did do tests on some of the miraculous hosts and found that it was human heart tissue. what was bread had turned to flesh...I don't know how...I certainly don't know enough about protons and quarks to tell you. Aloysius
im not sure i'm getting accross to you what i mean. i'm not talking about the miracles that Physical science detects, but the ones that happen in our churches every day i'm saying that the only reason we see/taste bread/wine is because all of these molecular structures stay in tact, but what the molecules are made of is a completely different substance. scientists have no idea what substance anything is. as far as they can tell at is complete smallest form it's protons, neutrons, and electrons, (ignoring your whole quarks thing, it's irrellivant, if you wanted to go deeper it would be aight.) anyway, what is a proton? it's, well, energy or somethin right? now what is the essence of energy? well there's like + and -, but that's all they can know. but there is something distinctive in everything's substance, aside from the structure of the molecules and what not, that make it what it is. and down at the very smallest level is where that is most comprehensible, cuz we cannot comprehend what these small particals are made out of whereas our human minds comprehend bread made out of wheat or w/e. anyway, the protons, neutrons, and electrons in bread and wine have the substance of bread and wine. they are all in structures that make their physical attributes make them bread and wine, but they would not be bread and wine unless God willed that every aspect of them was bread and wine, down to the quarks. now, if God wills that every little proton neutron and electron were to change in substance, but not change in structure, it would retain this physical distinction as bread and wine, to the eye of science which is ignorant to the amazing complexity of God even sustaining something to be what it is structured to be, it is still bread and wine. but the entire substance has changed to become the Sacred Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. photosynthesis
so it's got the structure of bread + wine, and the substance of Jesus. gotcha. next time i won't talk about quarks and leptons (or voltrons or arbitrons, for that matter) after midnight for the sake of clarity. Aloysius
:D lol good idea,,, quarks? i thought those were just funny antics
photosynthesis
well, i was being funny and stuff, but quarks and leptons do exist...i don't know much about them, but i do know that they're smaller than protons + neutrons + leptons. arbitron is an agency that compiles ratings for radio stations, and voltron is an old tv show about some robot. i can't be counted on to make any sense after 1am.
