Paladin D
I just wanted to let our fellow Protestant brothers and sisters know, that we don't hate you! Because at times, we all tend to fire up a storm in the Debate Table. There are some people who debate each other for a living, yet are friends! Many of you (non-Catholics) have come here to debate with us, and at times... a healthy debate is good. But there are some people time to time, who come here and... A. Deliberately ignore our valid points, and/or side-step the issue(s). B. Spread lies usually on purpose, but there are some who do it accidently, because they're ignorant (that's understandable). I'm not refering to actual doctrinal differences, but posting false teachings and claiming that the Catholic Church teaches them. (Example: Idol worship, Mary as goddess, etc). WE KNOW OUR OWN BELIEFS. C. Decide to use the poor me approach, and type up an emotional post which does not deal with the issue at hand at all. Of course, we all have feelings... but when it comes to debating, that behavior is a no no. ...so remember... just because we may get fusterated at times (when someone does one of the three things above), doesn't mean we hate you. Of course over time, some of us may grow a disliking (when you do one of the things above constantly). Don't mistake our zealous behavior for hatred. :)

Circle_Master
I still find it interesting you call all of us brothers and sisters. You mentioned a few things before, but I know that I am clearly outside of the Catholic Church, and even the unam sanctum of 1302 says "Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff." Now, I'm not an english major, or any postgraduate degress in english, but if it is necessary for salvation to be part of something, that excludes any salvation outside of it. Clarification on how you reconcile that with the more modern Church teachings of salvation outside of the Church?
Bruce S
Circle... You are going to HEEEELLLL and they are just to nice to tell you that. Of course, now we get 1,000 paragraphs telling you that what you just READ with your own eye's "ain't so" Perhaps they have it conjegated in pluperfect past tense Greek too if that helps convince you that what is BLACK AND WHITE, isn't really what YOU think it said. Hey, did you know that we don't have to go to hell on that clause, nor even waste time in Purgatory either? Almost as good as being a Mormon, of course THEY get their own planet and can play God, no 70 virgins, like a Jihad bomber, but, no need to blow yourself up either. I just wasted an hour this morning listening to a Catholic theologian tell me more about Greek tenses than I ever wanted to know. Reminds me of the old days, when we used to suffer through those old Latin Masses [i can still do the responses in Latin, FWIW] ... now THAT was enlightening, let me tell you. So, are you going to Hell or not?

hyperdulia again
Circle, do you not call us brothers? From where you are sitting we're idolators who offer adoration to pieces of bread and talk to dead people.
Circle_Master
some of you are brothers and sisters. it is not up to me to make that distinction. only God and yourself know what is in your heart and what you believe.

hyperdulia again
*tap-dances* And now I say, only God knows if you're Catholic where it counts (your heart and soul). Or whether you are ignorant and culpable for that ignorance or not. *tap-dances off stage*
Circle_Master
I just brushed over Romans 9:30-10:13. It feels so clear to me. What do you get out of that (honestly) when you read it?

I pray that one day our minds can come to an agreement on one thing, that is Jesus commandment of Love.
