Charismatics - All Varieties

I want to chime in after the opening statments are on record.

Charismatic Catholics - the topic.

Real, wrong, good or bad?

Work in ALL the "Gifts of the Spirit"

I really want input here, so I will hold off, Pentecostal experiences are real interest of mine, on many levels.

So??

bruce,

i'm sorry man, but considering how you have presented yourself in this site, i have trouble believing that you started this thread w/ an actual intent to learn something about catholicism. i would be more inclined to believe that this thread is bait so you can find something else to pounce on us about.

i hate it that i see it this way, but all i have to go by are ur many offensive posts w/ their smart-elic (sp?) tone and condescending air of hatred. you are going to have to prove yourself before we (or at least I) can take you seriously.

sorry man,

I read the entire thread.

Argh.

One simple question.... and you have to wade through Papal interpretations.

This wasn't a trick question. But thanks for the link. As a real Pentecostal, I see that Catholics have NO idea [with one glorious exception, who everyone else beat to a bloody pulp for understaning that one MIGHT have an insight outside of the CCC] I wondered if any Catholics "got it"

I'm not surprised, most Protestants don't get it either.

In this ONE AREA, they are exactly like Catholics, afraid of something that "might be" different.

Took me awhile to understand it fully, the pro's con's benefits and abuses.

Hey IronDude, how abouit a good document dump to end this thread properly?

Hey Bruce how about you give it a rest for the new year with the "document dump" stuff? Hearing about how you don't like to read gets old.

Hey Bruce, big note...

Many Catholics on this forum are former-Protestants

...with me as one of them. Many of us know the many teachings of Protestantism (and practices). Yet you claim to have been a Catholic for 20 years, but hardly know carp about Catholicism. That says an awful alot, especially since you were easily converted... you had lack of knowledge.

Bruce,

Don't be a 'baiter for Hate' :( but instead a 'facilitator of Debate'. :D

It's more productive and God will help you with the patience thing so you can read more. :book:
