uruviel
Yes, she's amazing...I feel like I can really relate to her. She's my Confirmation saint. When I was little, our teacher gave us all holy cards with her childhood picture (with the braids:) to us, and, although I didn't know anything about her...I taped her picture up on my mirror with all of my other saint cards, right next to St. Francis. Somehow I always knew she would be my Confirmation saint.
really? I've felt like I can relate to St. Therese too, she's such an amazing soul, I her!! I used to think Mary would be my confirmation saint, that kind of changed after I learned more about other saints.
And I THINK...I'm not sure, but...it looks like someone that I prayed a Therese novena for just might have received a Rose from her.
Oh wow!! That's always such an amazing thing isn't it? Good for that person!

She didn't do anything tremendous...just many little things with love. I want to be like that. I love Mary like the Heavenly Mother that she is to me...in fact, when I was younger, at times I would call her "Mommy"! And, yes, totally amazing...and gratifying in a different sort of way, you know? I didn't receive the "Rose" myself, but I felt so...at peace...when I asked for its giving. I guess giving truly is better than receiving, in many cases!

Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
Hi! Hmmm, no, I've never heard of it. I'll look into it! I love St. Francis of Assisi so much...my middle name is Frances, and I didn't know there were several St. Christina-s until about 2 years ago. He is and always will be my special patron saint...he's such an awesome saint. St. Clare is awesome, too. I love her. But St. Francis will always be my Numero Uno. St. Therese might tie with him...
its defiently worth reading. make sure not to get a liberal verion though!

I totally agree about the whole Therese thing...I'm listening to "Little Flower Song" right now by Father Stan Fortuna, and the full lyrics (They repeat several times), are: I will give everything to Jesus when I have nothing to give, I'll give Him this nothing. That pretty much sums Therese and her entire life up...she gave absolutely everything she did (and didn't!) have to Jesus. I've done several different Therese novenas in the past, but that particular time, I used the Novena of the 24 Glory-Be-to-the-Father's. http://www.ewtn.com/Devotionals/novena/24_glory.htm It's relatively simple to pray, and I found it great to pray at bedtime! :
