It is amazing how many mixes and matches of beliefs can be come up with when man is left to his own understandings of scripture. I honestly don't really doudt the 33,000 denomination number. It may not be that many formally but materially it is far more.

Sure, search "anglican 'branch theory.'

Dont laugh, I believed this stuff too for years. Three branches of the same Church (Anglican, Roman, Orthodox). This is nothing different from John Henry Newman's early beliefs.
