Tindomiel
I said "around here." You obviously ain't from these parts, son! I don't know anything about Steubenville, but I know a lot of homeschoolers out here who are extremely passionate about it, and would not stand for some liberal-activist judge banning homeschooling due to some U.N. mandate.
I could see that happening in Maine too. There are tons of homeschoolers in my area. Many of them aren't even particularly conservative. It's just that the schools are simply atrocious here. homeschoolmom
Homeschooling is no longer the domain of the far left or far right.
2xbob
Parents are around to make the mistakes so the children dont have to. It is one thing to learn from your own mistakes, its another (and less painful) way to learn from the mistakes of others. Parents can pass down the lessons they learned. When you take that away you have a long and complex repitition of errors by each generation.

journeyman
I find it interesting how secularistic "elites" believe they are smarter than the religious majority, yet they create utterly idiotic laws and promote ideals that are destructive to their own dang race. I can't wait till our decendents read in their history books how horrific, and stupid, these people were.
That sort of depends on who writes the history books . . . and whether anyone will be reading them http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?s...c=52694&hl=read This topic sort of reminds me of the phrase "Hi, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you." Mercy me
All of this makes me sick! Judges are to rule based on the US Constitution and Federal law. It has only been recently that judges have been considering international precedent. The judges that have been doing this are liberal judges. This issue is a huge part of the reason that it is important to vote for US Senators and a President that will appoint strict constructionist jurists to the bench. Strict constructionist will always come back to the US Constitution as the highest legal authority in the land.
