How can marriage be irrevocable while remaining dissoluble?

This is for my other question:

If canon law says this then

§2 Matrimonial consent is an act of will by which a man and a woman by an irrevocable covenant mutually give and accept one another for the purpose of establishing a marriage.

How can somthing be irrevocable while remaining dissoluble? :idontknow:

Or, in the case of an annullment, it is not a dissolution of the marriage, but, rather, proving a marriage never existed in the first place.
