I'm only asking because you mentioned that you might have a vocation to the priesthood or something like that. They preach the gospel through the media, and that includes film. Being a priest isn't a job; it's a life. You can do both. I'm currently developing a couple of projects - a "practice" screenplay called Big Shots, which I'm writing for the sake of writing it, and another project, a bit of a music-and-love story, tentatively called The Mix-Taper.
