Oops, meant to click Yes. I would feel the same, thought it said would you feel different. He is just an actor, and a pretty durn good one. Portrayed Christ in the Passion very well. No reason to expect this to spill over into other films as they require different roles. I would expect a faithful Catholic to choose his roles carefully, but it wouldn't take away what I think of a good individual performance.

Jim Cavizel wouldn't do any script that did not hold up to the teachings in his faith...which is why he did The Passion and more than likely would never do a movie like TDVC.

To those of us who have heard him speak and know him as a Catholic actor, not to mention big fans, this would never be an issue. ;)

Just wondering, for no real reason.

This is an absolutely loaded question...I've read your posts you like to cause trouble. What do you want someone to say that no they wouldn't feel different so you can blast them for that...or say yeah I would feel different so you can blast them for that....

Bottomline...if Jim Caviezel is the Catholic he claims to be and if you have read interviews by him you might find this out...he would never consider a role that would compromise who he is as a person. That's what the Da Vinci code does...it compromises who we are as humans. When it takes the God out of God, it takes the human out of human...

Please. I saw a name I didn't recognize on here, and the first thing that came to mind was "Maybe he played Jesus in The Passion." So I went and Googled "Passion of the Christ credits", and found out who really did, and realized I was wrong. With all the talk of TDVC, though, the idea of this poll crossed my mind for some reason, and I was curious as to what PM would say. I never had any intention of commenting on it, as I've never watched The Passion, nor do I plan on seeing TDVC. Now stop instigating, [mod]no name calling please[/mod].

Momma's Boy

Yes, but I am dissapointed in Tom Hanks. Even though he hasn't made a religious movie, I have always like him as an actor and hate to see him playing in a movie like this.

I would feel the same about the Passion if Jim Caviezel were to star in the Da Vinci Code because the Passion was an amazing movie and Caviezel is a great man of faith. I also know that he would never do a movie that conflicted with his moral values and his faith. He has turned down such parts in the past because it required a love scene. If this question is yet another attempt to start a debate (which it sounds like), it's not going to work.
