Guest Slave_of_the_ Premonitions
I would go see it but I read half of the book, and it is not worth finishing let alone going to see the movie. I know a few people that the book has changes their minds about Christianity and it makes my blood burn inside me when i here that they are so manipulative and they can not see what society is trying to do to our religion. Dust's Sister
I'm going to see Over The Hedge instead!
Diamond
Way too big a deal has been made over the book/movie. First of all: it's mindless entertainment masquerading as an intelligent mix of history and fiction. Some people fail to realize that. Secondly, only someone who refuses to take the time to research the matter in the least could possibly agree with the claims made in The Da Vinci Code. Thirdly, proposed boycotts and protests have only made the publicity more ridiculous. It's not a bad movie if you watch it as a movie. Ron Howard is a skileld director. McKellen and Hanks are skilled actors. It's enjoyable. Just don't take it too seriously.

Paladin D
Not going to support the film by spending money to see it, plus it got horrible reviews (that's not to say the critics are always right, since some of my favorite films are bashed by critics). BOYCOTT!
musturde
Boycott but don't protest, that makes a bad movie get more attention. lol
Diamond
Exactly. I respect those who don't go based on faith, but making it a public matter or "calling for boycott" has only led to more publicity.
LouisvilleFan
I'm going to watch the movie every night it's out just to spite every Christian in the United States of America. And every time the movie ends, I'll thank God that I'm not a Christian since becoming Catholic.

Era Might
[quote name='musturde' post='985381' date='May 19 2006, 03:00 PM'] I'mma watch it cuz some of my friends are going to. I know some people who take it way to seriously, so this will help with confronting them about it. However, I heard the movie wasn't that great. That's a dissapointment, but oh well. YMNolan
Ian McKellen doesn't exist, just like Tom Cruise. They are computer generated beings, created by a secret society seeking to wreak havoc on the entertainment community. There, the truth is out there.
