LouisvilleFan
I'd go if I thought it was going to be a good movie, but I haven't really heard any good reviews and I think Dan Brown makes up for his mediocre writing ability by publishing stuff that gets people in a hissy fit. N/A Gone
Im torn. I read the book in order to provide an educated attack against it, I feel leaders need to do this. But we do not want to endorse it either. But if we argue it without knowing it then we look like idiots. If they do, you should much rather pay for that than add to the profits of the movie. Another alternative is to wait until after the first weekend to see it. The ratings for movies matter most on the first weekend. Edited May 17, 2006 by 3n1

3n1
I said this a few weeks ago: The best thing to do is to get a bunch of people and go see another movie this Friday. If you don't watch any movie you do nothing to the Da Vinci Code. If you watch another movie it reflects negatively on the movie. I don't care how lame the other movie is. Guest Rick777
I agree. I'm gonna see that "kid" movie as well.
kamiller42
Ok. I give in. What is that "kid" movie? No. I won't being watch The Da Vinci Lies. I've not read the book, but I've read so much material on it I feel like I have. I am debating which is more offensive: the charlatan named Dan Brown or the fiction called The Da Vinci Con. Noel's angel
Why would I go and watch that rubbish??? It's got terrible reviews and is a pack of lies anyway, so erm, my answer is a big, fat NO.
Fulton Sheen Warrior
+JMJ+ I wouldn't watch this movie in the same way I wouldn't watch a movie about Jews put on by the KKK. Why go see a movie that attacks your Mother?
thessalonian
ironman, So are you against what Catholic Answers and others have done in reading anti-catholic material? Should we not allow debate with protestants on the debate part of this board, allowing them to post their points. Are you totally against all dialogue and educating ourselves about the beliefs of others and distortions of the faith so that we can rebut them? I have to disagree. Your porn arguement does not hold. We know what porn is and it is a sin to view it. It is only a sin to embrace a lie about the Church. For those who's faith is not strong enough it is not good for them to go to the DVC. But apologists are a different matter and should use their own discretion. Blessings
