If you're in Michigan, do you know if the Benedictine Sisters of Corpus Christi Monastery is still in existence in Ann Arbor? They're considered contemplative, with limited apostolate.

There's also the New Communities Consortium on our website: Society of Our Lady of the Cloister There is one community listed as being in Southern Missouri. They will be considered contemplative.

The Handmaids of the Most Holy Trinity in South Bend, Indiana, are contemplative. They run an ashram/hermitage/retreat center. They're also on our website--look on the "Monasteries in Serious Condition" page.

HTH.

Blessings,
Gemma

P.S. I will be putting an envelope of the materials you requested in the mail to you today or tomorrow. G.

Sorry, I have to jump in to say something off topic... At the PCC Corpus Christi Monastery, Mother Abbess' name is Mother Mary Regina!!
Sorry, just thought that was way awesome!

Just a quick question. I was searching for some information about the Missionaries of Charity contemplative branch but couldn't find anything. Do you know of a link or something? Thanks!

You can also contact your nearest MC house and they can point you in the right direction. I know they have the addresses and phone numbers in the back of A Simple Path.

I know a young lady who spent time with the MC contemplatives as a postulant. She wrote back and told me that they're in much more dire need for active sisters than the contemplatives.

My 2 cents.

Blessings,
Gemma
