AngelofJesus
Exactly, sinners. And of course Christ said that the wheat and the weeds would be mixed until the end of time.
So you do admit there is hypocrisy is catholicism. It does not disturb you? I mean coming from a sincere, but limited christianity in a Prot church? (sincere question)
Jaime
So I am confused now....am I a wolf? Or a sheep?
The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin' Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd. Sorry I just had a Pulp Fiction flashback! And you care greatly for your friends which is an admirable trait!
Brother Adam
So you do admit there is hypocrisy is catholicism. It does not disturb you? I mean coming from a sincere, but limited christianity in a Prot church? (sincere question)
It depends on your definition of "Catholicism". There are sinners in the Catholic Church. There are even popes who were bad popes in their personal lives. Jesus never said only perfect people are allowed in the Church. He came to heal the sick, not the righteous. Jesus stated that at the end of time that the sheep will be separated from the goats. It is not our job to decide who is going to hell and who is not. The Church is a hospital for sinners more than a hotel for saints.

jasJis
Maybe it's my lack of being raised with Fundamentalism. My answer would be: "To be a CHRISTIAN and be with God's Grace. Ultimately, yoy, I, and everyone, will answer to God, the Perfection of Mercy and Judgement." You aren't a fool if you do your best to do right, even if you're wrong, but people are free to call you a fool. You ARE a fool, no matter what people say, if you do what you think is wrong because other's think it's right.
Balthazor
Ya know form a gardening perspective I never understood that weeds thing. I mean one year I have a weed free garden and I did not sacrifice one seedling. How did I do it? I went through and meticulously picked out every weed as sson as it sprouted. It was very time consuming, but worth it. I had no weeds and beautiful flowers.

People's lives and circumstances are unique and full of trials. It's not wise to paint people with a broad brush.

jasJis
I've got a tough question, and I'm 99% sure I won't get more than 1 or 2 thoughtful answers to it. If it's okay for a Catholic to leave their parish and join another for spiritual reasons, what happens if the Catholic doesn't see anything better in the next parish, or the next, etc., assuming the Catholic isn't rejecting Christianity? Telling people to stop going to that parish and shop for another is advice that is OFTEN given.
