Chad is a sponsor too. I guess we should be thinking about this too...

Maybe a crucifix necklace (masculine of course)

Maybe a couple cd's of a good Catholic music group that is popular with kids today, sorry I don't know any. It is a gift he can listen to for some time.

Xbox 360. Just kidding. A lot of Catholic stores have sections for confirmation gifts. I'd go with prose on the crucifix chain.

I good friend of mine tells me her daughter was not impressed with her new rosary. A miraculous medal reportedly received a slightly better reaction (www.amm.org).

Tell the kid that the real gift is from God!

Yeah..I'm going to be having my confirmation sometime in May or June, not sure yet.

Sorry, I don't have any ideas for you.

Regardless of what "else" you decide to get him I would request a mass be said for him. Then let him know. There is a quote about there being more value in one mass said for someone while they are alive then in bunches of them said for a person after he dies...sorry I can't remember it exactly.

Ummm, maybe write him a letter about how you felt on your Confirmation day (good or bad) and how the gifts of the HS have impacted your life and your faith now. My Father did this for me because he was out to sea that day (he was in the Navy, not out :fisherman:) and it is very special to me to this day. He told me how the bishop asked him a question during the ceremony as they used to do and he gave a "dumb" answer. LOL. Then he went on to say how he didn't get it then, but he did now etc etc. Very powerful.

If you're looking for some"thing" to give the crucifix is nice. Or a really nice bible if he doesn't have one. Or some other religious book, icon, etc....as the others have suggested, check the Catholic store. Just don't get something specifically confirmation "themed". Get something he'll keep/use for the long haul.

I'd go to this online Rosary Shop and get him a custom made rosary with his confirmation saint as the center piece if they have it. You could also get him a small statue of his confirmation saint.
