zunshynn
I just ordered the second volume of Fire of Mercy, Heart of the Word by Erasmo Leiva-Merikakis. I'm so excited. I had been reading the first volume when I left the monastery, and was almost finished with it. I have really been wanting to read the rest, but it was kind of an expensive book, but I just found the second volume for less than half of the original price! I can't wait. I hope I can find a similar deal for the first volume. I'd HIGHLY recommend it. It's a fantastic book on the Gospel of St. Matthew... very meditative, rich, designed to help you through Lectio Divina with the Gospel of St. Matthew. Crispy
I just finished my second reading of Father Elijah: An Apocalypse by Michael O'Brien. Right now, I'm reading Volume 2 of Direction for Our Times, given to Anne the lay apostle. I plan on starting C.S. Lewis' The Four Loves soon. zunshynn
I'm rereading the Cantata of Love and I still kind of reading The Evidential Power of Beauty, although I'm not really getting anywhere with it. Tooo bad, its a really good book.
laetitia crucis
Only made it halfway through St. Gemma Galgani's biography. I just couldn't handle it. (Sorry, St. Gemma! ) What I did read was good for my humility nonetheless. In the last two-three weeks I've read Dominican Spirituality: Principles and Practices and Renewal by William Hinnebusch, OP and The Shack. Currently re-reading Mother Angelica's biography by Raymond Arroyo. Planning on reading St. Louis de Montfort's True Devotion again after I finish Mother Angelica's bio. Laudate_Dominum
At the moment I'm reading the 2nd edition of Fr. Gerard O'Collins' text Christology: A Biblical, Historical, and Systematic Study of Jesus Also reading a little volume called: Deschooling Society by Ivan Illich.
